This violin is crafted on a personal Del Gesù model, featuring a one-piece back of strongly flamed European maple, cut slightly off the quarter. The curl is of regular to medium width and ascends toward the bass side. The scroll and ribs are made from identical wood. The two-piece top is of narrow-grained European spruce with irregular spacing, broadening toward the flanks. The instrument is finished with a red-brown varnish over a golden ground and is lightly antiqued.
