This violin is made from a late Guarneri model. The one-piece back is cut on the quarter from European maple. The curl is of narrow to medium irregular width and runs straight across the back. The ribs and scroll are of more plain wood. The two-piece tops is of medium to broad grain Italian spruce which remains somewhat irregular towards the flanks. The violin is finished with an orange-brown varnish on a golden ground and has been antiqued.
