This violin is made from a personal ‘del Gesù’ model using a one-piece back cut on the quarter from strongly flamed European maple. The curl is of medium to broad width and descends from the left to right. The scroll and ribs are of similar wood. The two-piece top is of narrow grain European spruce and broadens toward the flanks. The violin is finished with a red-orange varnish on a golden ground and is lightly antiqued.
